I would probably rank Shitnick lower, but I've only ever rented from two places. These a-holes are clueless. Thankfully, our building has not collapsed yet, and the rodents haven't come into our unit (there are million leggers in the foyer, very gross, and a hole that looks like rats have been clawing at the front door, a small child or cat could crawl through at this point). We had numerous issues when moving in, fogged glass, non-working bulbs, a refrigerator from 1954... Nothing they could really do about any of these things. Maybe our expectations were a bit high. There is a friendly woman named Linda in the office, but otherwise, these people are very very very hard to deal with, once you have moved in. We should have realized when the David Cross/Cryptkeeper look-alike gave us a tour of the buildings. These buildings... god... they look like garbage. Seriously. Despite all this, the particular unit we found was very reasonably priced and we have made it work... and you probably could too. You'll need to be a very forgiving person to rent from these mongoloids.

Not bad if you want to be just left alone. But you better pay rent on time and not cause a fuss; that's the only time they pay attention to you. Creepy angry old house manager roams the parking lot and will tow you in seconds if you don't have a pass during the day, but at night and on weekends enough people park there that people with passes have no where to park, and nobody seems to notice or care! Also, many tenants here are discourteous of others. Be prepared for many unannounced visits from the renter showing the units!

M'eh company, but be aware that they do not follow the protocol of informing tenants when they have been in your rental unit beforehand, and often even after the fact. We had a situation where our alarm had been triggered when we were not at home, not disarmed and we had to call the police when someone triggered the door, someone who had keys to the unit. When we first rented, the rental agent attempted to "steer" us because they thought we might be thinking about having children, which is illegal.

The maintenance is really, really, slow. And they'll never tell you if they actually came and did anything. I found ants, and roaches in the apartment every couple of months, and called each time. There was also a neighbor who got some rather large rodent infestation.
They're mildly pleasant over the phone, but I wouldn't trust the repair guys farther than I can throw them. They repeatedly "fixed" a problem with the shower/bath that took 4 trips to actually fix farther than putting some low quality putty over a hole.
They also "lost" one of my rent payments, threatened to evict me, and then just as mysteriously "found" it. But never let me know until I called to make sure they weren't arriving to force me out.

Maintenance are in and out of your apartment any time they feel like and often for the to "fix" the same problem. They move your stuff around and rarely put it back and almost never inform you about being in your apartment. It's "cleaned" once a week and that's only the entrance way and the pathetic & expensive excuse for a laundry room. oh, and don't expect the snow shoveld from the walkways in the winter and the plow for the parking lot is good at blocking your car in.
P.S. The landlord is awful. An older woman (like 80) complained about the snow on the walkway and he told her to move out if she couldn't take care of herself and when she decided to move into a nursing home - he tried to sue her for breaking the lease!

Building is unsecured, as neither entrance locks. Garbage is dumped down a common chute from each floor and sits for WEEKS before being emptied by less than friendly employees. Intercom has long ago been vandalized and is not working. When we called for repairs it took 10 days to have subcontracted stranger come into our apartment without notice, only to have to call back immediately because the repair was not a repair at all! It took over 2 weeks to get a simple P-trap replaced. Roaches AND mice have been seen inside and outside our own apartment. Heat rarely works! Hot water is hit-or-miss. Our rent has also been mysteriously "lost," even after dropping it off at the office personally!! Security deposit was not refunded becase of burnt out lightbulbs.
Ridiculous.
