I am writhing this to distuinguish that Tuckfelt Rentals (Steve, Kittie, and Jeremy) are most definatly NOT wonderful landlords. They may or may not be associated with G. Tuckfelt, as they own properties on the same streets and employ the same extortion tactics. MAINTENANCE: Both the kitchen and bathroom drains were constantly backed up, they never fixed a broken rear door that I alerted them to upon moving in and tried to charge me when it was further damaged in a wind storm, it took them over a month to repalce a broken deadbolt on the front door (and I have reason to believe they made my downstairs neighbors do the repair), the fuses were constantly being blown due to an excessive amount of outlets alotted to each fuse, installed a padlock on the door leading to the fusebox, have NO FIRE ESCAPES leading from the second floor, did not replace a discharged fire extinguisher, when the deadbolt WAS repaired, it required a key to EXIT the building, and accused me of burning down a fence they were tired of so I would pay for a new one (the fence was still standing, unburned). AVAILABILITY: After recieving a letter demanding more than $3,000 in three days, I was unable to reach Kittie (the designated Tuckfelt for these matters) because she was predisposed out of state, then refused to speak to me upon her return and referred me to her son's ill-tempered girlfriend. I believe this also speaks as to the friendliness of these people. My expericence with the Tuckfelts was that they simply wanted to extort money from thir tennants so that they could avoid invesiting any of their own money into their properties. When I tried to reach a compromise with them I recieved an eviction notice and between the time of the notice and our cout date I was harrassed through nasty phone calls and voice mails, unexpected visits, threats of having my belongings thrown in the street, and spying (on my comings, goings, and guests.) They are all opportunistic, bitter individuals and no one should ever have to be put through what doing business with them entails.

I wanted to write this to distinguish Tuckfelt Rentals from G. Tuckfelt. I rented from Tuckfelt Rentals (Kittie and Steve Tuckfelt) for years and they were wonderful landlords. Anytime I had a problem, either Kittie or Steve would call me back immediately. I remember one evening when I thought I smelled gas in my apartment around 11:30 p.m. and I called (turns out it was the city gas line), Steve came over right away (out of bed) to take care of it. Kittie knew that I was having some issues with school and family and she put me in touch with an organization. I can't say enough about them.
