I'm used to absentee landlords. I usually don't mind fixing my own toilet, etc. But Shanton is the worst landlord ever. There were raccoons living in the drop ceiling ( i.e. 5/8th of an inch of material separated loud, big animals from our heads) and he did nothing for 5 months despite tons of phone calls and emails from us. Finally, I called a trapper and I had to meet with them dozens of times to get rid of them. Our cold water was shut off in the kitchen (from burst pipes) for a month. Shanton didn't send his (cheap, barely competent, all-purpose) handiman out until I withheld $20 from my rent. Cheapskate scum.
