The positive review for Ron Jardini seems to have been written by Ron himself - notice that it requests you pay your rent on time at the end of the review. Also, none of its claims were true for me. Ron is very savvy with the internet and email, though he rarely replied whenever I called or emailed him AFTER becoming one of his tenants. Good with maintenance? LOL. Be prepared to call the health department.

I haven't lived in Ron's apartment for over a month, and I'm so relieved and happy now that I feel I can give a fact-based, fairly objective review. I wouldn't even bother, except that I wished many times that someone had warned me, so now I'm going to warn you.
This review cannot be dismissed as a simple rant, because these are all facts, not opinions, and they cannot be disputed: Ron keeps about twenty or so of his tenant's keys in a large, rusty coffee can that's always sitting on the front seat of his pickup truck. He calls them 'bastard keys' because he doesn't know which apartments they go to and so they aren't tracked in any sort of way. Anyone can take one or several of these keys at any time, and Ron wouldn't know it until after something bad happened to one of his tenants or their property.
One day I found a key that had a tooth pattern that matched my key exactly (at least to the naked human eye) lying in front of my apartment, and the only explanation Ron could give later was that it landed there by accident. He told me in his own words that it was about a one-in-twenty coincidence someone dropped a matching key in front of my apartment by accident. But even by his own optimistic odds, that means there's a 95% chance that it was NOT an accident. So why would someone want to get into my apartment after midnight? I'm guessing it was to steal, but since I was sleeping not ten feet from the door, something else very bad would have happened had the key worked.
Fortunately this key happened to be a bad copy, but had it been a good copy, for example, one of the keys that Ron keeps in the coffee can in his truck because he can't remember which apartment it goes to, someone could have been hurt.
Because he doesn't keep track of them, anyone who has access to these keys, especially an employee, could take one without any fear of it being discovered as missing. Anyone could already have any key to any of his tenant's apartments, as far as Ron knows.
Two weeks later I moved out, a week after that, I noticed his truck on the street. Yes, he still keeps those keys in the big coffee can, sitting on the front seat in view of the general public. You can decide for yourself what that means about the safety you can expect while living in one of his apartments.
I could mention many other issues with Ron, like the fact that he once tried to convince me the the smell of a gas leak was in my imagination, though the gas company showed up, disagreed and forced him to fix it the same night, but really, if the possibility of someone trying to get into your apartment after midnight doesn't bother you, then give Ron a call.

Very good landlord! Very fast with maintenance. Very understanding. I requested a few things to be changed or added to the apartment/house before moving in and he agreed to them. The apartment was pretty clean. He also supplied furniture for me, which was great!
I highly recommend renting from Ron. He has other apartments and houses as well. You have to be a good tenant too (pay rent on time, no disturbances, no parties, etc).
