My stay here at Pittsburgh has been a piece of cake and enjoyable thanks to the efforts of rockwel realty. With the ever growing network and ease of access it was really convenient for me to find a place and get all settled. The turnaround time for any grievance, be it plumbing or electrical was instantaneous. We did not require any cleaning to be done in the apartment as it was spic and span by the time we moved in. The proximity from my college and other convenient stores was an added benefit. i would strongly recommend students and professional to contact rockwel realty for any real estate requirement as they make the whole procedure very comfortable and seamless.

My experience as a student here has been very good. The apartments are very clean, spacious, affordable and very well ventilated. The surroundings are peaceful and the building is very conveniently located close to the universities, grocery stores, hospitals and happening places like Walnut St. The landlord is soft spoken and a very nice guy. Any problems in the apartment are quickly addressed and you feel like being at home.

I would recommend this apartment to anyone. I only gave a 4 for maintenance because our one washer has been having issues forever. Luckily there is another washing machine and it's always available (this is a very small apartment building). Once I locked myself out of my apartment and Rocco was there in no time. The walkways and parking lot are always maintained. The hallways get cleaned practically once a week. I haven't had any issues with my unit at all in the 2 years I've been here, so I don't know how they'd respond to individual needs. Very friendly.

The location of the apartments is perfect for students going to school in CMU and PITT. There is a bus stop right outside. Also, there is walnut st. a block away. The apartments are a little old, but they are maintained excellently. More importantly, the availability over phone and email for maintenance is extremely quick. The realty people especially Nick are extremely helpful and friendly. Me and my roommate had a wonderful time and we will miss 5506 a lot. **HIGHLY RECOMMENDED**

My husband and I have had a great experience renting from Rocco! The building is a bit old, but it has just what we needed while he was in school. The building is located in a great place in Shadyside, close to Walnut Street shopping, and there is a bus stop right outside the door that heads to all the universities. Rocco and his staff were always very friendly and helpful. If we ever had an issue with our apartment (and there weren't many!) someone came to fix it within a day or two. After a big snowfall someone was always outside the apartment shoveling the walkways. I would definitely recommend Rockwel Realty and this apartment to a friend in Pittsburgh!

So...unless you have an emergency they take their time coming to fix things. However, we did have a mold problem/paint pealing in the bathroom and they were there the next day to fix the problem. (Our living room ceiling fan never got fixed.) However, we received our ENTIRE security deposit which is basically unheard of in the East End. Rockwel is a great company and I'd live with them again if I had enough people to fill the three bedroom. Rent is a little pricey (no utilities included, but we did have a parking spot), but the apartment was in great condition. Rocco isn't great to deal with because he seems to lack patience and is a tad condescending but his wife and daughter are really sweet. The phone dials rocco's cell after hours so you can always get a hold of someone. They are also great with email which made it even easier to accomplish things. *HIGHLY RECOMMEND* We will miss apt 5 <3

Rocco is a very fair and reasonable guy. I would definitely recommend him. It took a while for them to turn the heat on, which is not unusual in PGH, but he takes impeccable care of his property, recently renovating the kitchens in this building.

Rockwel Realty/Rocco DiDominico. Great landlord! Takes good care of his properties (unusual with all the PGH slumlords in the East End), extremely responsive to maintenance concerns. We called him once on a holiday weekend about a leak and there was a workman there within two hours! And he was easily reachable by telephone and friendly. I was sorry to leave the apartment - we only moved because we bought a house. And he was extremely fair with the security deposit afterwards. Recommend with no reservations whatsoever.

Rocco is a good guy. As far as landlords go in this town I would say he is top notch.
