The only real complaint I might have lies with the so-called, "security". Often I find the gaurds asleep in their booth or smoking a cigar in the back. There is one particular gaurd that usually takes the 4pm to late night shift. He is particularly cranky, and often criticizes people for poor parking. He is not very friendly, but you have to be nice to the guy whom watches your vehicle overnight.

VERY slow to fix problems. All three main buildings have weeds everywhere, in window wells, around back, along the buildings. Very old appliances and the police are there quite a bit. Mary is very nice, but it can be hard to get ahold of them after hours, even for plumbing emergencies. They raise the rent every single year and don't offer many amenities in return. (No a/c, no dishwasher, no counter space, fuses blow often, outdated bathrooms, some radiators can't be turned off, minimal landscaping). I've lived here three years and overall I like it, but you don't get much for the high rent. All utilities are included though. Look around, there are better values in quieter neighborhoods.

Sweltering hot in summer months, but they charge $100 extra to run an AC unit! Ceiling tiles are leaky (ours once leaked yellow liquid...and ceiling is still hanging down and has yet to be replaced)! Carpet is horrible and also needs replaced. If your maintenance request isn't urgent, you must fill out a 'work order' and maintenance shows up whenever they feel like it. Lobby and front stoop are not maintained well. Building is so old that each room only has 1 or 2 (at most) outlets. Slumlords take advantage of college students who need a place to live by jacking up rent prices.

Apartment is very outdated. Few outlets, no dishwasher, no counterspace, singular light bulb in each room, fuses blow often, leaky bathroom ceilings, walls in bad shape, carpet is very old and stained, can easily hear outside noises and noises from other apartments, stoves are very small and old

I wouldn't go near this place again! They have one maintenance guy over 70 and one who reeks of alcohol, even at 8am, and he can't fix even minor things. My oven broke the first day I was in my apartment and it took them a week to order a new element, rather than just spending the money to replace the ancient thing. The counter space is non-existent. ANYONE can get in the main doors, all three buildings have a code that can be punched in and it opens the doors without a key! Any previous tenant has access to ALL the bldgs if they have that code! And it's not a hard one to figure out. Parking is a problem, as it is everywhere in Mt. Lebanon. They don't provide enough spaces for all the apartments and townhouses and the spaces they do have are garbage and weed choked (Including 2 used condoms that I've seen so far). The buildings themselves have begun to look like tenaments because of the lack of outside care. Half the mailboxes don't lock and the mailman will just leave packages in the lobby. A friend of mine lives in the building next to mine (115) and she said there was a guy living in the storage locker area and there was used toilet paper and Subway wrappers all over the floor. I am leaving here when my lease is up in January and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone, especially females because of the lack of security. The rent for a 2 br is up to 640 a month, and there are no dishwashers, a/c, disposals, not enough outlets, and incompentent maintenance. Outrageous for what you get, even in Mt. Lebanon.

Meyers Management has provided great service. Their office hours are very accommodating (they are open on Saturdays) and their staff has always handled my maintenance requests and concerns in a timely fashion. This apartment only has a few drawbacks -the ceilings are thin, which made it possible to hear the TV of the people living on the floor above me. Also, there is no way to control your own temperature settings - which means in the winter, my apartment was really hot (you can only open a window to make it cooler). Also, there is no air conditioning, unless you pay $100 extra for the year (which is pretty affordable), but it's a rental window unit, not central air. Lastly, rent is dependent on the amount of utilities used by the apartment as a whole from year to year. I noticed that the future tenant of my apartment would have to pay 50/month more than what I paid for next year, because the company can vary their rates. Overall, the maintenance staff is very personable and trustworthy. Off-street parking rates are good too, (only $10 per month!!) I have been pleased with my experience here.
