Dishonest. Not rational. A headache to deal with even though the apartment was beautiful. Privately owned apartment. Here's one story of many: It turned out that Maureen wanted to get me out of the apartment earlier than we agreed. Also, she believed that I trashed her place and that my deposit ($1600) wouldn't cover the damages I'd made to the apartment. I improved everything I could to Maureen's specifications. I'm not sure I'll get my deposit back, because Maureen gave me a Moving Out Checklist, one I'd never seen before, with approximately 100 points including such things as checking for scum in the track of the shower door, scuffs on the baseboards, and clean grout/caulking. It was very detailed making no allowances for normal wear and tear and seemed to cover damages that pre-dated my lease- like blemishes to the floor and kitchen counter. Raechelle, her property manager/niece, wanted to do a pre-move walk-through so that she could tell me what I needed to fix. We didn't do it, but when she did come by on the last day, when everything was spotless, Raechelle suggested I dust the top of the fan and clean between the fridge and the counter! They were that detailed! The touch up paint they left for me to use (yes, me!) wasn't an exact match and now I have angry voicemails telling me that the whole place needs to be repainted.... with my deposit.
