This is a warning... do not and I loudly repeat...do not rent from Lynda or Steve Vais. I just wish I would have known what I know now. This landlady will tell you what you want to hear to draw you in and then she disappears. She always has an extreme attitude when you call her to complain about one of the terrible neighbors or ask her to fix something. When she does finally call you back, she always tries to correct the issue by promising you the house she is currently fixing up. She always rents to such terrible, ghetto people who have no respect for themselve or their neighbors. They are loud and rude and the landlady never does one thing to correct the issue. As long as she gets her rent on time every month then she is happy and normal tenants stay miserable. So, if you have neighbors who are on section 8...then you are screwed completely because she will never get rid of them even if she has numerous complains from you and other tenants. Nothing is ever fixed and if you do luck up and have her husband...the handyman come to your house, he makes a bigger mess than what he is there to fix! Not that one wrong is better than another but I truly understand why a tenant completely gives up and just move out. I have seen new tenants move in and one months later they are gone. I now understand why some landlords put you through the ringer...no section 8, credit/background check, and large security deposit. I am someone who takes pride in keeping a nice home even if it is a rental. I will now seek out landlords who have strict rental clauses because that will weed out the scum. I am just happy that I am now on a month to month lease because as soon as I find something better, I am moving quickly and believe me...I will be running away very fast!
