Nick Kefalos is great! I have lived here for 4 years and have never had problems with them. They are timely when things need fixed and rent is reasonable. There is also free parking in the back which is a plus.

not too shabby. a bit overpriced for an efficiency. the move in conditions were pretty horrible my bathtub was literally brown when i moved in, so i spent the first night there scrubbing someone else's bath scum. windows were super cruddy and allowed heat to just float out of them. i had to stuff pillows in the windows in the winter to prevent the super draft that would occur. also the tenants in the place were flat out strange. constant bar fights from the bars around the area, the back door got busted in and never fixed. practically anyone could come in the building. then my favorite part... i would go to classes and come back and my door was open, why? because he decided to show my apartment without telling me. nothing like having people in your place when you don't know it. then maintenance bug spray guys would show up super early, no notice and would just come right in, while i'm sleeping in my bed. yeah. nothing like feeling safe here. the only plus was if something broke they were on it pretty fast to fix it. otherwise it was overpriced for well... garbage. oh and to top things off, he refused to give my deposit back and finally did after threatening legal action. ridiculous.

Kefalos are GREAT landlords! The apt building itself is in a really bad location, and that creates a lot of issues, but it's not their fault for that. They are very prompt about answering phone calls and making repairs. They even came out on a Sunday to fix something small that could have waited til later! I'm very happy with this landlord and would certainly live in one of their properties again (just not this one).

When I first moved into this apartment, my fellow renters were professional working adults. Towards the end of the lease, this building became a haven for the college crowd. The people who lived on all the apartments around mine enjoyed partying at all times of the night, stomping very loundly, and overall being a pain. When I first moved into this apartment, the heat did not work - I SPENT THE ENTIRE WINTER WITHOUT HEAT! I ended up buying an electric heater because it became a hassle trying to talk to the Kefalos people. I also told the landlord that none of my windows (the aparment was on the 1st floor) had no working locks - which they never came around to fixing despite multiple phone calls. When I first moved into this apartment, I found the apartment, with all its faults, to be a very quiet place. Towards the end, the Kefalos people decided to become "good landlords" and repair the parking area - AKA: bringing in LOUD trucks and people early in the morning, often blocking my only exit. The last month of my lease I took a trip, only to come home to find that the unresponsible tenants upstairs had flooded the upstairs - the result being that my entire kitchen was horribly damaged and my ceiling had fallen in. It took a week for them to get around to fixing the disgusting mess - and ended up charging me a cleaning fee! I would not advise working adults who enjoy peaceful living to rent from these people.

Was flexible with allowing me to move my belongings into another apartment earlier than the lease started. Is good with getting things fixed if you call a couple times. Nick Sr. is very very friendly. The company though got alot of things mixed up when my room mate moved out. Another room mate signed the lease but they continued to call the old room mate to confirm apartment viewings! But all together, very nice and good landlords! The building is not in the greatest location but for college students it would be ideal. Still pretty quiet for the most part but when the weather gets nice, the front steps are over run with drunk bums!
