Have been here since August. There has been a mold spot on the men's ceiling that is dripping unto the toilet now. The shower's have no pressure. The place is constantly littered with garbage. The lawn outside the property is always overgrown. The place looks deserted, but unfortunately people do live here. The washer has been broken for weeks and the landlord Selasi just called to get it fixed. This place is terrible. They charge us a pretty high amount of rent, and then make us do hours of volunteer work every week because they "allow" us to live here. Do Not Stay Here!

You have to be black or white to live here. No other minorities allowed. The owners are totally racist.

Okay, so they make you pay to live here and then make you work when you are here. The dumbest thing ever! They say that they are fighting racism or whatever, but it is totally a lie. You pay like 400 a month, and then they ask your parents to donate more money to them! Where does this money go? Seriously. I really think that it is all a scam and that sombody is getting completely rich off of my money. That sucks! And they don't even take care of the place. The place is always dirty, the only cleaning of the outside of the building they make you do it yourself. When stuff brakes no one ever fixes it, or they ask you if you know how to fix it. I mean, really? Come on now! And it is always cold too. I am freezing all the time and when I ask the RD to turn up the heat he says he doesn't know how or something. Such a scam! Find another place to stay, seriously.

Pay 400 a month for one room. (Yes, one room) and you have to work for the house while you stay there. They talk to you like sh*t like they are better than you. And make you do things even if you don't like doing them just so they can pretend that they are fighting racism and make that crazy french lady happy.

The Roof has been leaking for two months now. The ceilings are caving in in most rooms. I found a piece of ceiling in the shower the other day. The entire place is starting to smell like mold. Here is what the *slumlord* says: --- Hello All: I decided to send out another email dealing specifically with the leaking problem. I realize that it is a big problem but please understand the nature of the problem. The ICH is a very old building. I am not sure of the last time that the roof was worked on but obviously it needs some more work. As you may have learned by now, most the leaks are on the second floor and coincide with areas that have chimneys on vents on top of them. I tried solving this problem before but employed someone who did a ridiculous job and cost us a decent amount of money (last summer, before you moved in). Please understand that with the current delay, I am only trying to avoid this same problem and in addition, to find a long lasting sustainable solution. We may end up requiring a major roof job which would mean a lot of money and hence the absolute necessity to get a good contractor. I apologize for the frustration Selasi --- Oh, and the "free washer" has been broken for a month. The landlord offered to drive me to the laundrymat (creepy) but then never answers the door when I knock (shady). Not to mention that they had a meeting to curse three people out and then pretty mutch kicked them out of the house because they didn't go to a school and volunteer for an hour. Ohhhh! And some guy tried to break in over the weekend! He tried to make it a big joke, but then some of his friends came to the house and tried to jump him because he is stealing money. So, yeah, this place makes the projects look good. F- F- F-

The people here suck. The place sucks to. They keep tellin us its gonna get better n the rents gonna be free. But its justa lie to get you to stay and give them money. They tell you they gonna fix stuff but they don't. This place is a dam crackhouse for real.
