While on Locust, we truly experience Hill District living. We were solicited by prostitutes, one of them a transvestite. Also, the house was in terrible condition. She had her son come over to replace a door with a piece of plywood and charged hundreds of dollars for it. Also, she made us pay for an entertainment center that we brought to the house and wasnt listed in the lease. The keys she gave us to her apartment laundry room did not work, and there are no washing machines located in the house. The house is not insulated so heating will cost a lot. She would come over for what seemed like no reason at all. She made us steam clean the carpet when we moved out which was also not in the lease. When she came over it took her an hour to get up the stairs. She changed a downstairs door and it got sealed shut. We werent allowed in the basement. She told us there would be free parking but then the lot was closed after we moved in. I dont know where all our money went. Slum.
