Frank Russ is an awesome landlord. He is honest, cooperative, and fair. My experience with him was very positive. He's a nice guy too! Highly recommend him.

I rented from Frank Russ/Paramount Realty for a 3-year stretch and had a positive experience with his rental company. Our apartment building, indoor and outdoor, was always very well maintained. In my 2-bedroom apartment, there were very times I had to notify him of issues related to plumbing, leaks, or appliances; so, no real complaints related to that. He was responsive to issues/problems that arose by phone and email, and came to evaluate within a timely manner. I would rent from this Landlord in this future if were stay in the Oakland/Shadyside area of the city.

Well, where do you start on such a vague complaint? How long ago was this complaint? What circumstances warranted this complaint?
I tried to determine who this tenant might have been so I can determine the situation she was complaining about. Since no date is provided, I'm at a loss. Nor do i know the circumstances of her negativity. From what I can make out, there was obviously some issue with which she and I could not see eye to eye on. Her response that I was condescending is probably from the fact that I didn't agree with her---on whatever it was. I can tell you though that my response to her father or boyfriend would have been the same. PLEASE, the fact that you are a girl is no reason for me to treat you differently.
I hope that you all realize that this website generally receives only negative complaints. It's human nature (I guess) for people to complain whenever there is a problem but rarely will they praise someone when a good thing occurs. Just keep this in mind when you read the majority of these complaints!
In regards to my ratings from above: I will admit that sometimes maintenance issues are not handled as quickly as they may need to be. But this depends on the circumstance---I'm sure all of you can relate to this from situations at home. Then again, sometimes WE forget about your concerns. The response time depends on the severity of the situation. A broken window in the middle of winter deserves a quicker response than one in summer! Without going on and on, I think you get the point.
As for the other ratings, I almost always answer the phone myself and check emails daily. Friendliness--hey, I'll treat you like you treat me---enough said?? For those that may have their doubts, contact Pitt's OCH. They've been referring me/us for the past several years.
