I complained about the lack of heat on 5 occassions. I actually had to call the local Housing Authority. They promptly provided heat then. But, within 2 weeks I had no heat. Several times the response was, "Everyone else has heat". But I did not. The toilet also leaked and dripped onto the stairwell below. I complained about this twice but nothing was done. The apartment was nice. They were doing alot of work fixing the adjoining buildings but for some reason did not want to fix the problems in the building I was living in. I would not say they were good landlords or slumlords. I think it would have cost them thousands of dollars to fix the heat and they did not want to spend that.
