DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE I rented from them back in college and here is a list of what I can remember off the top of my head: 1. Saw a rat upon move in. They assured me that it must have just run in the door from the street. 2. They turned the heat off over x-mas break. I called to say I was still there and to turn it back on. They said there were foreign students living there too so they wouldn't have turned it off. It stayed off until school started again. I'm sorry, I didn't know I was only paying for my apt when school was in session. 3. The people below us had a leak right below our bathroom. It turned out to be a pipe connected to the shower between floors and they would call the landlord everytime we showered. Every single day, Fred or the other guy showed up WHILE I WAS SHOWERING to tell me that I was spilling water all over the floor and the leak was my fault. EVERYDAY WHILE ONLY WEARING A TOWEL I'd take them in the bathroom and prove that the floor was dry. They kept insisting that I didn't know how to use a shower curtain and would come like clock work everyday and make me let them in while dripping wet. After a month + of this they started threatening me saying that I was going to be responsible for repairs. Our floor remaind fine and in tact, but the neighbors ceiling ended up crashing in. Go figure. They ended up replacing old ass pipes in between the apts. Fred et al kept trying to put the blame on me and kept telling me I had to have my parents pay for the repairs because I wasn't using a shower curtain correctly. Not knowing what to do, I broke my lease to avoid all of the legal issues that I could not afford because he is cheap and a horrible human. Karma is a bitch Fred, just keep that in mind.

These men are simply awful people. Firstly, they do not respect women at all. They froze us out in the winter, slashed my friends tires and poured acid on his car, and would constantly blame us when something broke in our house. Please don't rent from them and let's make these assholes go broke.

Don't ever come near Fred & Joe nor their properties. I have never met more inept landlords in all of my existence. They clearly believe that the rent money they receive is FREE money...no need to do any upkeep on their property to make paying the rent remotely worth it. My roommates and I are seriously considering hiring legal counsel concerning their horrendous actions and lack of maintenance. They have on more than one occasion entered our residence without any notice. Despite repeated attempts to contact them about needed repairs they did anything possible to evade our concerns. They are absolutely the slummiest of the slumlords. Please save yourself the headache and do not consider renting from them. I promise you will thank me.

DO NOT RENT. Many repairs were needed throughout the year that were not taken care of at all. We repeatedly asked for the services required of our landlords and were met with impatience, hostility and avoidance. The only phone number you are given as tenants is the office number, a number that they never answer, forcing you to knock on the front doors of their homes. There is no emergency contact number. Messages are not returned and you are told that messages received on Sundays are not recorded on the answering machine. Better at talking trash about their other tenants than actually attending to your needs. DO NOT RENT.

The correct name of the rental; company for this slumlord is DEIULIIS RENTALS not Deuliius as a previous rater stated. Their buisness card says their buisness is located at 3605 Dawson Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15213 phone number (412) 683-4438. Fred DeIuliis and Joseph DeIuliis are the buisness owners. I stayed at their rental property on the 3600 block of Dawson Street and also leaased a spot in their parking lot down the street. As my lease was ending I asked Joe and Fred's father if I could park for two additional days so that I could arrange moving out. He agreed, but after the moveout I returned to pickup my car and it was speckled with paint thinner. The only logical explaination was it was one of the DeIuliis' goons that destroyed my car. If they needed the $3 of rent to cover the two days they should have asked. I have vowed to seek retribution and this in some small way, hopefully will at least prevent others from enduring the wrath of these horrible landlords. DO NOT rent any property with anything named Deiuliis. Now Fred is involved in politics- I hope those running against him research his past and realize what a poor landlord he is. Do we really want this guy representing Pittsburgh?

Fred and Joe DeIuliis of 3439 Dawson Street are the biggest SLUMLORDS in all of Oakland. First off, he showed us one apartment and then when it came the day to move in, he put us up in a different apartment. This apartment was right next door to him, and he felt he could enter our apartment when ever he pleased WITHOUT NOTICE. After we pointed out the problems with the place upon moving in (he wouldn't sign off on them), he later took routine maintainence fees out of our security deposit for things that should be fixed regardless. None of the fire alarms worked, the place was disgusting when we moved in, and he's just an unpleasant person. We got $90 of the $900 back from our security deposit even though we went above and beyond what the lease asked us to do. I parked right in the lot behind our place and he let his kids place hockey with the net right behind my car. I have multiple scratches on my car from his children and his dog. Avoid his apartments at ALL COSTS!
