I am the landlord and the bad rating here is inaccurate and I don't believe written by a previous or current tenant of mine. I have been involved in restoration and community development in Lawrenceville for twenty six years. I live in Lawrenceville, founded Art all Night and have saved three beautiful old buildings from the wreaking ball. I founded a company years ago to buy abandoned property that no one else wanted and rehabilitate it. My plan was to turn neighborhood problems into neighborhood prizes. Since then Lawrenceville has gone from a neighborhood no one wanted to one everyone thinks is cool. I have three ratings on your site two are very positive and rate me with solid 5's the other is negative and gives me solid ones. I am certain that the bad rating does not come from someone who has actually rented from me but rather from an old time white Lawrenceville resident who bears certain prejudices and does not approve of the fact that I do not discriminate. Please refer to the comments this person made about me. I do not have any tenants who receive section 8 subsidies. Unfortunately in Pittsburgh, rents to section 8 is code for rents to people of color and that, among these racist members of the old guard is unacceptable, regardless of how good a landlord you are. The poster implies that I am a profiteer, who gets rich renting to black people on government subsidies. The only thing true about this is that unlike other landlords I do not discriminate and judge people only on the content of their character. My tenants are all good people and have good experiences renting from me, this poster was not a tenant of mine.

A very good landlord, has very nice properties and is quick to address any maintenance issue. Only downside is that rents run a little high.
