This guy is crazy. I had spoken to him on the phone about one of his apartments, and we made plans to sign a lease. A couple days later, he left me a voice message to let me know that he gave the apartment away to someone else - even though he had planned to give it to me. I called him back and told him I was a little confused by what happened, and he essentially told me that the other person could sign the lease sooner. I expressed my disbelief that he would let someone else take the apartment, because he had made it very clear to me that the unit was mine. He got angry at me and said that he had never told me the unit was mine, and that he thought I was going to screw him out of a security deposit. He hung up...and then five minutes later he CALLED ME BACK to yell at me! I never once raised my voice at him and consistently addressed him as "sir," and he treated me with no respect in return. I told him that his actions were questionable, and that his behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable, and he hung up on me. From what I saw, the units he rents out are nice, but save yourself the trouble and don't have anything to do with this guy. I have never dealt with such a rude, ignorant landlord.

I looked at other apartments in Oakland and I was disgusted. His apartment was clean and well maintained. I have had other landlords and he is on the ball!
