We are renting an apartment in a home that has been split into 2 units, upstairs and downstairs. We occupy the downstairs, prior to moving in we were warned that the upstairs tenant has 2 small children and to expect noise. We were not told that our ceilings and walls would shake for 3-5 hours a day. We were not told to expect dog pee to rain into our bedroom from the dog upstairs. We were not warned to not put anything onto the walls as their aren't any studs, not too mention the thumping from up above has caused us broken picture frames in our entertainment center, dvd stand falls over all of the time, pointless to hang anything that they will inevitably break. We were not told that our furnace heated the entranceway and that the tenant upstairs didn't need to shut the front door because she is a single mom. We were told that our electricity was used to light the hall light and the basement, however we were not warned that we were to supply the upstairs tenant our electricity for her to blast her radio in the hallway in front of our front door. We were not warned that when the roofers came theywere going to remove the roof from our bathroom and kitchen, and then leave for 3 days because of the severe rainstorms which caused the ceilings of those 2 rooms to leak. When we checked our furnace prior to winter starting and it didn't work we called her, she never sent anyone, so my husband did what he could to get it running, it worked for a month and broke in the middle of a nice coldspell, she did have someone out here to fix it that day, but not before one of our frogs died. We had to cap off the live electric wire that was running out to our back porch, we had to replace our faucet that split down the stem. Where the ceilings leaked still has yet to be addressed, and the thumping from upstairs has gotten worse since we have complained to her about it. We have no way to get in touch with the actual owner of the property, the 'property manager' is the only personwe are able to contact and as it turns out she is friends with the tenant upstairs. The local police are frequent visitors to the apartment upstairs, and we have even had the fugitive task force burst into the building for people she has living upstairs, and still we are wrong. I would like to know how we are able to get out of our lease, this has become a nightmare. The constant thumping gave our bird a heart attack just 2 weeks ago, and our dog refuses to sit anywhere in this place except for the kitchen, you see no one is above the kitchen it is an addition. Help me please! She does not return our phone calls and does absolutely nothing to remedy any situation that may come up. We have dealt with this for almost 6 months and have only begun to complain about the upstairs tenant, but to no avail. Upon moving in I had to thoroughly clean every surface in this place, spray for the zillion and one spiders that were EVERYWHERE, we had to go out and purchase window screens. The bedroom window can only be opened when my husband is home as i am unable to push it open. The kitchen window has no lock, we have to place a stick in it to keep it from being broken into. The back door wouldn't close and lock all the way until my husband fixed that. Just recently he called again about a big crack that's forming inthe plaster above the drop ceiling and she will not return our phone calls, however she sent a mutual 'friend' over to 'see how things were going' We are unable to contact Gary Wilson the owner of the property and Breeann is now going by the surname Rosenal.

Please Please Please stay far away from this guy and his property manager Breeann Czopek. They are the worst landlords in the history of renting. Im the type of person where i dont call for maintenance unless its serious. The times where i did call oh lets say when i had water coming in from the roof and the upstairs neighbor shower. The response i got as far as the roof is "oh everybody roof leaks around this time of the year, theres nothing we can do. or when the front door is so old that snow blows inside the hallway just to name a few of many many problems. Please dont make the same mistake that i made. stay away from these two!
