Instead of using people that know how to fix a heating system, and the piping problems, he used cheap labor from the Syrian community and we ended up without heat for a long time, it was 50 degrees in the apartment. He screwed up the plumbing many times, and took a long time to fix what he screwed up. He would come in to work on something in the apartment without telling us and would leave a HUGE mess. He rarely payed his gas/water bills to the county on time so that I would come home and see a notice by the county that he owed between $1000-$3000 or we would have no water 2 days later. At this point he asked us for the next 2 months rent in advance to help him out. I helped him out. Then he came 2 months later and tried convincing me I didn't pay and wanted his rent. He appeared to be on cocaine at the time. He had the Allegheny Health Department called on him more than once and was almost forced to shutdown the building. He stole my security deposit stating I payed my rent LATE twice, charging $100 for each time. The lease said the charge is $25. I threatened to take him to Small Claims Court and he began yelling and insulting me. The $150 wasn't worth the time I'd have to miss from work to get my money from him. STAY AWAY.
