As a renter, you have legal responsibilities you must live up to. You are, after all, signing a contract when you sign a lease.
However, you also have rights about which you might not know.
This link: http://www.hud.gov/renting/tenantrights.cfm will take you to a Tenant's Rights page set up by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
